This has been discussed in our forum, but it has been confirmed. If you go to www.1-18-08.com and wait approximately six minutes, you will hear the monster’s roar. It scared the bejesus out of me as it’s a new type of roar…Much longer.
This may explain why the site was fluctuating between Paramount’s last night as they may have been adding the monster’s roar on 1-18-08.com.
So check it out and let’s hear your thoughts on it. It’ll definitely catch you off guard when you hear it.

It sounds like a whale, the orginal thought, but i also put it up against a dinosaur roar and it fit the tylosaur roar. I just used the discovery channels dinosaur show. the use cgi and recreate all the dinosaurs and it matched almost perfectly (Ima geek and have them taped okay)take it easy.

i believe it was a mix of a whale, bear, and octopus, but yes it did scare the living hell out of me! by the way, im doing a little bit of research myself (who isn’t) on this warbloid and on the forums the “Bloggers” talk mostly nonsense
ummm i think i made a discovery if u go to comments in the forum, on page 2 the bloggers a vodka trick, and then one says “we should make it at robs party” so that means that the bloggers are the people from the party supposedly
oook another thing after that post in the comments section on page 2 then they talk about all having slusho at the party. after that, one posts the Trailer of the movie on the site, claiming that he can “see into the future” then another one posts a stupid video about a farting pig. i have 2 potential expalanations 4 this forum. either a group of smart-ass friends made it all up, or this is a legit website connected to the film and its job is to give us a little backstory of the characters in the party and their knowledge of slusho.
idk if neone is getting this, and i don’t know if the comments section is the best place to put this information, but i also noticed someone from the site made a post in the forum, but no one responded. weird
lol another thing is that they mention “Godzilla in the site as a holloween costume that one of the bloggers wants his friends to notify him about once he goes to japan.
i other words the “Bloggers” in this site are supposed to be the characters from robs party and in the “train” section on the forum, it talks about rob going to japan and tasting slusho
there.
ok this is getting weirder and weirder on the site. now inthe Ny1 12:32 section of the blog, it takes about earthquakes, and a monster apparently creating the earthquake. im really not sure what to believe as to weather this site is a hoax or its connected somehow to the film.

Hey guys, if you look at the website warbloid.com as mentioned above, in the bottom right corner of the picture, it looks like there’s a reflection of a giant squid on the side of a building. Look for yourself and tell me if you see it.
I WENT TO THE WEBSITE AND TURNED UP THE VOLUME OOBER LOUD!! AND I LEFT THE SITE MINIMIZED ON MY DESKTOP AT WORK WALKED OUT OF THE OFFICE AND SCARED THE FREAKIN CRAP OUT OF MY CO-WORKERS. IT WAS SWEET.

Just an FYI to add to the possible info:
Have been playing with this sound clip a bit.
This sound clip, and the roars from the original trailer elicit no response from animals other than an initial “What’s that?” They quickly dismiss it. Not so for recordings of whales, bears, mice, the “Bloop” sonar recording, etc. which will hold the attention of cats that are sitting next to me.
Suggests that the roar is not made from recordings of iving animals. Appears to be purely synthetic/man-made. Almost sounds like a double bass violin being mistreated (yeah, I know that’s how the original Godzilla roar was created, but not suggesting this 1-18-08 critter is Godzilla).

You don’t have to flip pictures or type anything to see this yellow frame you mentioned.
Just do this:
1. Refresh 1-18-08.com site.
2. Click with left-mouse button at one of the pictures.
3. Then press Tab and very fast change it to left mouse button again and hold it withiout moving your mouse.
It doesn’t work everytime you try it. I think it’s nothing interesting- by pressing TAB you simply change an object also on this website.
hey ppl umm some new info if u look in warbloid.com now instead of the fog, u get a birds eye view of New York, but with black water and things appearing in the water. pretty scary stuff
now there are some new threads in warbloid.com/gany as well i believe. there is one called “Friends” and one blogger says something about how Ross (from the show Friends) is a great character and how he is funny and how he would “love dinosaurs in New York”. interesting tidbit huh?

Hi everyone! New here but wanted to say something about the www.warbloid.com site. I see something very interesting in the picture. Maybe I see it b/c I wanna see it and making it look what I want it to look like but. On the very right in the water…. the second inlet from the top. go all the way in you will see a series of red and white dots 6 to be exact … followed by a line of 3 smaller dots … look ahead of the Large red and white dots you will see 2 white smudges in the water they are not boats. the boats in the picture you can tell that they are boats by the trail of water breakage behind them. Use your mouse and zoom in on this area… I think and I could be wrong but I think they are eyes. If you zoom in you see a circle out line below one of the white streaks. Let me know if you see what I see. I think its a major clue. If that’s its eyes then its huge and big enough to be the monster. Then again i could be wrong and it could be a fake site but if not holly shit… lol. Assuming this site isnt fake… so i could be way off lol if its a fake but hopfully im getting something. Sorry to take up so much space btw
I think the monster is a chimera. Think about it, how many chimera movies are there? The roar sounds like diffrent animal roars mixed together and the creature might carry offspring. Miniature creatures that help it destroy New york.
Also on Slusho.jp in the Happy Talk section and in the History section there are all animals. Fish,pigs,horses and more. One of the comments made is ” Thanks for the GREAT night.” and “SLUSHO will make all the People, Fish, Monkey, and Donkey happy.” For some reason there are words in capitals on some of the quotes. OWN, GREAT and SLUSHO are in all capitals. If you can find more words or anything else contact me.

When I first saw this trailer, my favorite part was the roar. Maybe I was letting my imagination get the better of me, but I was sure it was more complicated than just a roar. There seemed to be a woman’s voice behind it, in kind of an amplified whisper. Something about that sound made me think of dark, evil stuff going on, and it was exciting. The sound of it made me think that there was no hope for these people.
But this clarified roar just seems like a big monster. Not to bash big monsters, but the dynamic of what I thought this movie might be is a lot less intreguing now.
i was checking out the warbloid.com/ganu website and i noticed a japanese phrase under where it says “Rikkyaku Eirian It’s Here It’s Alive” the phrase says “Baka ga atte riko ga hikitatsu” wich when i did a search on google, it came up as a japanese proverb. translated it says :

Is it me, or is that the constellation of Cetus behind the Transformer-like robots at the Slusho.jp site. I think that constellation is named “the Whale.”
I found out the constellation is bordered by Sculptor (hammer) and Fornax, the goddess of baking, (Oven Mitt)…Another thought, wasn’t Cheese the name for that casting/setup/guide paper that was handed out and turned up online and Paramount said to give it up?

I think Monkey 7 is right. Also, the constellation Cetus represents the sea monster Cetus, who was sent by Poseidon, brother to Zeus, to destroy the coast of Ethiopia because of a queen that boasted that she was more beautiful than Hera (queen of the gods).
soooo, a character on the slusho website points to the “BLOOP” heard in 1997 of a creature reportedly larger than a blue whale, also, drinking slusho “turns you into a whale or something.-then, the constellation behind the “transformer like robots is probably cetus, otherwise known as “the whale”-whilst cetus is also the sea monster sent to destroy the coast of ethiopia- new york (to point out the obvious) is also on the coast, and the u.s. has been referred to as a vain country, or “boastful”.
i’m not saying that the gods are involved, but there’s definitley a connection to some form of large, monstrous whale which is in turn connected to the compound used in SLUSHO! that somehow creates more whale like creatures.

The yellow box that appears on 1-18-08.com is something that happens will all flash sites. It highlights buttons… For instance, go to Warbloid.com, and on the big map that comes up, press tab, and you’ll see the yellow box that you have to click on in order to see the forums.

Hey guys, got a question…. the first picture on the 1-18-08.com site… what is that above the girls head? It looks like a guys thumb so i think its one of the dudes in the picture with his arm around her holding something. Is it a badge or a camera.. I cant tell. Posible clue??? ive listened to the roar a few times and i think i know how they made the sound. at first i thought violins like they did with godzilla but it sounds different. lower pitched. more scratchy. the more i listened to it the more familiar it sounded. have you ever moved a chester drawers and dragged across hardwood or non carpet space. it just sounds like the did that and distorted it with E.Qs
I was waiting there patiently, listening to “In The House In A Heartbeat” from 28 Days Later, hoping for it to dull the senses. In a bittersweet and awesome manner, Just as the music stopped, the roar happened. I nearly crapped my pants. One word: Awesome.
Man that cetus thing is clever, I tried in connecting the stars from a Slusho robot page Print screen image and it is exactly the cetus constelation (only stretched ou wider than the images of cetus you can find on the net…). Amazing. Great catch man, it would be a big coincindence for that to happen naturally…

Not sure if anyone has posted this before, but I was just playing around on the site and throwing the pictures around, when one of the pictures flipped over! Then I figured that if you hold one of the pictures, click and make a complete circle with your mouse, the pictures flip over!! Two of them have writing on them. .just thought I’d share with you

I had a look at the Tagruato.jp website that ‘Rodrigo A’ mentioned and found it to be very interesting, a very impressive site, but obviously bogus with plenty of fake corporations and logos (A lot like the ‘Lost’ secret sites and clues for series three. (no surprise I guess with Bad robot producing the film and a ‘Lost’ script writer on board!)), but in the deep sea drilling section I noticed that the newest drill is the Chuai Station on the Mid Atlantic ridge (September 2007), could this have a bearing on the monsters origin, i.e possible drilling releases something deadly from way below the sea bed on or around 01-18-08?
Anyway further probing led me to the Slusho.jp site, now the fun begins, if you click on any of the Slusho bubbles a link bar appears at the bottom of the Flash area, now clicking the fourth link along (sorry I do not speak Japanese!) brings up a Histoy of Slusho, it talks about Noriko Yoshida and her son Ganu Yoshida, who by chance becomes a oceanic scientist (Links with Tagruato maybe?) who invents the Slusho brand.
All seemingly innocent stuff so far, but type in the url http://www.ganuyoshida.com and an interesting picture comes up…..
Titled My Main Dude (interestingly enough that is what they call Rob in the trailer for the movie, Quote: “how am I gonna survive without you?”, Rob: “I don’t know I’m like the ‘Main Dude’!” , but perhaps more interesting is the guys arm on the far right on the picture has the numbers 6174969251 written on it, now that has to be of some relevence somewhere, I will have to keep looking!!

ok ok we got it down to its a monster… tooks us months to figure that one out.. listin to the end of the sound clip.. clanging bars.. like the thing is locked up.. aka ( god forgive me for saying this) ” king kong “… or a verry pissed off t-rex… i really hope that this isnt one of them we moved it from here so it will destroy there deals . that is soooooo played out , and i belive that the j man can think of something new for his movies.

Ok, I have been monitoring this site for sometime just to see how far off everyone was with their theory’s of this film. I have seen everything from “giant squid” to godzilla to voltron.
i hate to be the one to break the news because these all seem like great ideas for a film however as the brother of the executive producer of cloverfield I know for a fact that it is not any of these projected creatures but in deed a prequel to the 1991 film “Super mario bro’s”, the sound effect or supposed “roar” as you’v dubbed it is nothing more than an angry shreek from the movies villin Bowser. also making an apearance in the film is yoshi however his roar is much more fiendly.

Ummm…… you guys do know that in the picture with two people standing side by side, there is no monster in the middle. That is the person on the left’s hair.
